Register at this link: www.register-ed.com/events/view/82113Colorado Parks and Wildlife will host an introduction to fly-fishing clinic just outside the town of Bailey, CO on May 30 from 7:30am-4:00pm. This clinic is for adults (16 years and older) who are new or just beginners to fly-fishing. Students will spend half the day in classroom instruction, followed by hands-on application at a nearby river and ponds.
Learn how to select the right fly, read the water, and perfect your casting. Classroom sessions will cover fish identification, rules and regulations, aquatic biology, fly selection, knot-tying and general equipment setup and selection. Colorado Parks and Wildlife will provide the fly-fishing equipment for the class, however, if students have their own equipment, please feel free to bring it.
A fee of $20 covers the cost of lunch.
Registered students will meet at Platte Canyon High School parking lot to check-in and then travel a short distance where the class and fishing clinic will be held. Located at: 57243 U.S. 285, Bailey, CO 80421
Please provide appropriate clothing for the weather that day, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Students do not need waders.
A valid fishing license is required. Space is limited.
