Welcome to Rainbow Trout Ranch and Campground!

Hello Anglers and Campers,

We are now open for the 2016 fishing season. We are open Wednesdays through Sundays, and holidays, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. You may fish until 5:00 p.m. This allows time to have your fish cleaned and to check out. After Memorial Day, we will be open for fishing 7 days a week, until Labor Day. In the case of inclement weather, please call ahead to our office at 303-838-5025 to be sure we are open.

During the time I have been the manager here, since 2010, we have experienced small increases in the cost of fish. We have been able to absorb those costs without raising prices; however, the increase in costs this season requires that we raise the price of all fish by 10 cents per inch. That will be 85 cents per inch for fish up to 12 inches, and fish 12 inches and above will be $1.05 per inch. In order to prevent a larger price increase on fish, we are initiating a $1.00 entrance fee for all customers above the age of two years. This fee will be less of an impact than the cost of more expensive fish.

A lot of work has been completed on the campground. We will be opening with more sites, both RV and tents, than we had last season. A new employee has been hired to handle camping reservations. His name is Phil Johnson, and he can temporarily be reached at 719-342-2240. If you are camping, the fishing hours will be extended each day by arrangements with Phil.
