All programs meet at the Ranch Hand Group Picnic Area unless otherwise noted
Tuesday Aug 2
Wildflower Hike 10am
Meet at the Group Picnic area for a hike with an Expert Wildflower guide
and discover Colorado’s wonderful wildflowers!
Wednesday Aug 3
Kids Crafts 10am
Bring the kids for an hour of interactive play and learning at Colorado’s newest State Park!
Each week offers a different outdoor educational adventure!
Saturday Aug 6 and Sunday Aug 7
Archery 10am-2pm
Come join us just off the new Staunton Ranch Trail for a fun day of archery! All equipment provided!
Tuesday Aug 9
Wildflower Hike 10am
Meet at the Group Picnic area for a hike with an Expert Wildflower guide
and discover Colorado’s wonderful wildflowers!
Wednesday Aug 10
Kids Crafts 10am
Bring the kids for an hour of interactive play and learning at Colorado’s newest State Park!
Each week offers a different outdoor educational adventure!
Saturday Aug 13
Mark Madsen BBQ 11am-3pm
Come join the Friends of Staunton for this great fundraiser Event!
Sunday Aug 14 and Monday Aug 15
Kid’s Fishing 10am-2pm
Come join us at Davis Ponds for a fishing adventure! The ponds are stocked full of rainbows! Come play Backyard Bass to learn casting , then join us at the pond for “reel” fishing!
(All gear provided! Adults welcome with a valid fishing license.)

Meet at the Group Picnic area for a guided hike and discover Colorado’s wonderful wildflowers!
Wednesday Aug 24
Kids Crafts 10am
Bring the kids for an hour of interactive explanation of Colorado’s newest State Park!
Each week offers a different outdoor educational adventure!
Thursday Aug 25
History Hike to the Cabin District 10am
Join a guided hike to the historic cabin district and learn the history of the Staunton family
and other colorful characters who played a role in the history of the area.
Saturday Aug 27
Interpreter’s Table: The Nutty World of Squirrels! 10am-3pm
Participants will explore Colorado’s squirrels characteristics, habitat and behaviors.
Then take a hike through the amazing pine forests and look for squirrel clues...
Sunday Aug 28
Fly Fishing 10am-2p
Rods and bait provided! Come join us at Davis ponds for a fun day of fly fishing!
Pond Ecology for Kids 10am-2p
Study macro invertebrates... Learn how to determine the health of water by looking at the critters that live there!

Just a friendly reminder that we have Kids Crafts tomorrow, a History Hike to the Cabin District Thursday, and some special fun this Saturday and Sunday learning about squirrels, pond ecology, and doing some fly fishing! Hope you'll join us!
