Staunton's Davis Ponds are currently at a 10" ice thickness and the Cutbow Trout are biting! Caution: Always check ice thickness every time you visit.

From Staunton State Park :
The fish sure are biting at Staunton's three fishing ponds. Before stepping onto the ice, please be sure to be up to speed on the safety factors involved with ice fishing. Here's an informative link on ice safety from Colorado Parks and Wildlife: cpw.state.co.us/learn/Pages/IceFishingSafety.aspx

Ice fishing is good to go at Davis Ponds!

Staunton’s Park Rangers conducted the first ice check of the season at Davis Ponds yesterday. At that time, the ice thickness was recorded at 5”, which is more than sufficient to support an angler.

Please be sure to read the following safety tips on this attached link before venturing out onto the ice: cpw.state.co.us/learn/Pages/IceFishingSafety.aspx
