A rare opportunity to be in a park after sunset! A few spots left for tomorrow's Friday the 13th Night Hike. Adults only at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park. More information and register here: www.eventbrite.com/e/friday-the-13th-nig...-tickets-29259729639

Description
The moon will be out and hopefully some nocturnal critters too. We’ll search the woods and meadows to see what we can find or at the very least, enjoy this evening hike.

Program Details:
Adults only.

This will be a dark hike in the forest during winter. Rocks and uneven terrain will definitely be encountered. Elevation gain is moderate but there is potential for slippery ice and deep snow on the trail. Please consider these potential hazardous conditions when deciding to join this hike or not. Dress warmly (well insulated jacket, pants, hat, gloves all with wind protection) and sturdy footwear is an absolute must! We also recommend water (hot drink would be better) and snacks as needed.

You will meet your hike guide at the East Trailhead of Alderfer/Three Sisters Park. If you see a large barn near the parking lot, you have gone too far! You are at the WEST parking lot...turn back east in your vehicle and park in the EAST Trailhead lot.

You are welcome to bring a flashlight or headlamp to light your way to the parking lot but you may not need this during the program.

The hike guide will discuss winter ecology, wildlife, and the stars if they are out. Whatever is encountered on the trail and creates curiosity among the group will be discussed. Some questions may or may not be able to be answered!
