Saturday Sept 2 10am-2pm
Edible Medicinal Plants

Come learn how Drs. Rachael and Archibald Staunton used plant preparations to treat the peoples of the mountains!

Wildlife Photography! 10am
Learn how to take breathtaking photographs! Bring your own camera for a short instructional class and then hike with a photographer along the beautiful trails to use your new skills!

Sunday Sept 3 10am-2pm

Family Fishing Program 10 am-2pm

The fish are biting!! Learn to cast with a fun game of backyard bass. Learn how to tie knots, clean fish and fry ‘em up for a yummy ending to a delicious day at Davis Ponds! All gear provided, those 16yrs and over must have a valid fishing license.

Saturday Sept 16 and Sunday Sept 17 10am-3pm
Archery Program 10 am-3pm

Take a beautiful leisurely hike to Davis Ponds and learn how to use a bow and arrow! All gear provided. Fun for all ages!

Saturday and Sunday Sept 23 and 24 10am-3pm
Living History Days

Come join the fun! Meet up at the Group Picnic area to view the local historic groups displays and square dancing! From there embark on a treasure hunt to find the Reynold’s Gang Gold! The treasure hunt meanders through the historic Cabin District and ends at the original Staunton Cabin. (35min hike). Staunton Cabin will be alive with festivities and fun. Folks dressed in historic garb will greet visitors with cowboy music and Johnny cakes with lemonade. Enjoy demonstrations including a Mountain Man campsite, Trapping and Hunting; Medicinal and Edible Plants; Games and crafts and Blacksmithing.
