Want to learn the basics of ice fishing? Here's a great opportunity to come out to Staunton and learn with our fantastic volunteers!

Staunton State Park Ice Fishing Clinics 10am-2pm:

The clinic is free with admission to the park, and gear, bait, and instructors are provided; but, fishing licenses are required for anyone age 16 and older. Purchase them online or at specific retailers: cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/pages/fishing.aspx

Come and celebrate Staunton State Park's 10th Anniversary on Saturday May 20th!
Below you will find a list of all of the free activities that will be offered throughout the day with a valid park pass. Activities will begin as early as 9:00 am with yoga at the Visitor Center and end with a candlelit hike starting at the Lazy V parking lot trailhead at 7:45 pm.
We look forward to celebrating with you!

It’s all about celebrating marmots with fun activities for the whole family! Crawl through the marmot burrow and join the “Where’s Raymond?” scavenger hunt and watch the marmot dance while listening to marmot music! The fun includes Marmot face painting, games and crafts! Climb Like a Marmot-Rock climbing with instruction and equipment will be provided at Campground Wall! Guided Marmot Hikes at 10a and 12n. The fun starts at Meadows Parking Lot!

Hop on the hayride at the visitor center or road below Meadow Parking lot for a free ride to the cabin!

Join us for a magical candlelit hike on the Davis Ponds trail! The hike starts at the visitor center where refreshments will be provided. Be sure to stop by before or after your hike. No reservations are required. Let forest friendly battery operated candles light the way!
