Buffalo Creek Gun Club (BCGC) is a non-profit organization with a mission "To aid, advance, encourage and promote the education of all interested persons in the use of firearms." BCGC is located in the Pike National Forest 10 miles from Bailey, CO.
Camp Fickes, operated by BCGC, will be open for Public shooting for a fee on weekends from Memorial Day weekend until the end of October. Hours are 9 AM to 4 PM. Additional Public shooting times can be arranged year-round.
Whether you are interested in handguns or rifles, informal target shooting, sighting-in hunting rifles, testing reloads, teaching kids to shoot, or serious practice, the Short Range offers distances from 7 to 100 yards. The Long Range has firing lines at 200, 300, and 600 yards. Shot shells are not allowed with the exception of slugs and 00 buck.
In addition to the activities described above, BCGC offers shooting sports open to the Public. These include International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), Steel Challenge, High-Power Rifle, 22 Rimfire Benchrest, and Precision Rifle League matches. BCGC also hosts various state championship matches.
