My first fish of the year. If you can call it that.

My first fish is always a trout. Not this year. I caught 4 perch about 4-5 inches. They run in schools so you catch one you catch even more usually. They were not much to bring in but I guess if you put 4 together that makes one fish. Caught them on about a #12 prince nymph.

I almost went out yesterday, but I was afraid the wind would make it impossible.

I could not go on Saturday because of the wind. But was great weather last night. I have not seen one trout since they opened. I know the boat guys have brought in a bass or two.

They usually stock by 1st week of april.
