I think he could do mysterious, charming, and detached very well.
Anyone think this film will do well and will the sequels be made?
I read the first book because I was interested in all the attention, but not interested enough to read the sequels even after the huge cliffhanger.
Frankly I found the female lead annoying and didn't care about her future.
Liam Hemsworth would be a fine choice. Honestly, I haven't read the books so I don't know if this will be well received or not, and whether the sequels would then follow. Based on what some of my girlfriends have told me, I think this will be difficult to keep to the storyline and make for a general audience (ie convince the MPAA to give it an R Rating) so that it could generate enough in revenue to be considered a success. I'm very skeptical, but enjoying the speculation of leading men!

But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Didn't read the book, BUT, Antonio Banderas would be THE man......his role in "Interview with a
Vampire" was pure erotica and proved his acting "chops"......

I dont think anyone cared about the female lead. The first film will do well if everyone who read the book(s) goes to see the movie to see how they actually interpret some of the more erotic scenes from the book. The 2nd and 3rd book were not quite as intense as the first. There is a whole different story line running thru 2 and 3.
I might go to see it just to see what the film gets away with. I wonder since the audience is over 21 if the film will be unrated. And if the theatregoers will get shocked by scenes in living color versus words on a page.
