Went last Saturday, I have been going to similar events for years and like to see how it has developed. Originally it was about 90% male dominated, with the women usually being dragged along by boyfriends and husbands, but now I am seeing a lot of families and groups of women coming on their own. Now I think it is about 60/40. Maybe reflecting this, they now have a speed dating event to link up nerds and nerdettes.
There were a lot of celebrities there you could take photos with or get signatures including six or seven Star Trek Next Generation people, William Shatner, and the original Batman TV Show stars.
My favorite part? Just seeing how much people get into it, spending so much time on costumes to wear to the show.
