This movie, starring Scarlet Johansson, deals with the mistaken assumption that people use only 10% of their brains. The lead, by accident, gets a massive overdose of this synthetic drug. It enables her to use more of her mind than ever before. Movies like this and Limitless fascinate me. It would be cool to be super smart, plus if you had so much brain power, in this movie, it would make your senses so much more useful.
The rest of the plot is about the bad guys wanting their drugs back and oddly for a movie about using more brain power, descends into a typical formula film. It tries to redeem itself with a 2001 Space Odyssey style climax, but this doesn't really work. Probably not worth paying full price for, but it is fun to imagine life as a super genius.
