Almost without exception when I have seen the movie after reading the book I am disappointed.
This is one of the few exceptions. It kept my undivided attention from start to finish and it has been a long time any movie has done that. It did not follow the plot religiously but I think that is necessary when changing mediums from book to movie.
Good to hear. I re-read the book after hearing the movie was coming out but so many people complained about the movie, I never got around to seeing it. Will have to find a copy to watch.

I never read the book, but I liked the movie. The end was a little predictable, but if you've already read the book that's probably not an issue for you.
