I know I am going to get flamed for this but the best Bond is Daniel Craig. Not the best movies, but the best actor for the role. Also loved him in Layer Cake as a unlicensed pharmaceutical salesman. :oregonwine:

Not by me, I agree wholeheartedly that he's been the best actor for the role! Roger Moore was too much the smarmy romancer, Timothy Dalton too uptight, Sean Connery not enough of a fighter (though in his defense, the movies weren't exactly made that way back then either).

Pierce Brosnan is second in my book, but he comes up short on the angst, loneliness, and fierce emotional devotion to country that means he'll go to any length to get the job done that Craig portrays. Brosnan was just too smooth and carefree.

Lazenby could've been great, but it's hard to judge by only one movie. On Her Majesty's Secret Service is one of my favorite of all of them though.

The latest James Bond/Daniel Craig movie is pretty good but a little long. Cristoph Waltz was a great villain, and they had some good throwbacks to earlier movies in the series.
