On Monday, the cast and filmmakers of Marvel Studios' Black Panther debuted their film at a lavish red carpet premiere in Los Angeles, while preview audiences in LA and New York got the first look at one of the buzziest movies of 2018. The response has been nothing short of ecstatic, elevating what was already one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year to a level of breathlessness enjoyed only by movies with Star and Wars in their titles.

How breathless? On Wednesday, Fandango announced that advanced ticket sales for Black Panther are currently outpacing every other superhero movie on record. On Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the film was site's top seller, two weeks in advance of its Feb. 16 debut.

Looks like the critic love it. Might go see it after the initial rush.

Just got home from the movie... loved it! Humor, bad a$$ chicks, great fight scenes, beautiful visuals, great acting, and good story. It’s one to watch again. My favorite part was the first post-credit scene (there are two), best laugh was when he brought a CIA agent to his sister for medical treatment and her response was “Great, another broken white man to fix.” #nodtoBucky

Lil Science Dude's favorite line was "Nah, I'm just kidding, we're vegetarians." :P You'll chuckle when you see it.

I'm a little disappointed that there wasn't a trailer for Deadpool 2, I guess that was only for opening night. :sadbounce:

Broke box office records. And you have to know there will now be a couple of sequels. Above average superhero movie with a deep plot that was straight forward with a great origin tale.
