Unique plot, the hero protagonist wakes up after an accident to find out in this world the Beatles, Coca-Cola, and cigarettes were never created. Formerly a failing singer-songwriter, he starts performing the Beatles catalog, all from memory and becomes instantly famous. It is a Rom-Com and he must eventually decide if he wants fame and fortune or the girl he left behind, but as an alternate world piece, it leaves you thinking a lot about a world without the Beatles. How many people did the Beatles inspire to take up music? How much other music would have we missed if the Fab Four had never existed. And if in this world, John, Paul, Ringo, and George hadn't come together, what would they have done instead?

Danny Boyle, famous filmmaker headed up this project and I think he made it so much more than your typical romantic comedy. And Beatle's fans will love it, the actor does a great job with all the songs. Four out of five Yellow Submarines.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
