Or was it really a superhero movie? Bruce Wayne barely makes an appearance and is pre-Batman. The film is more about a man who discovers he is mentally ill and his life comes crashing down around him.
(Spoiler) And the unreliable narrator makes you question how much of the movie actually happened.)
