This Thursday. It will be nice to see movies again. It should be relatively easy to social distance in theaters. Just put a row and a few seats between each other.
Alamo Drafthouse is also offering rentals on screens. 30 people can go, have to spend $150 for the theater rental and another $150 for food.
And in local news, Red Rocks Ampitheater is now a drive in. They are showing a few classic movies. $60 a car, but snacks are included plus they will have Chik-Fil-A food trucks if you want something more substantial. I didn't move fast enough and now most of the shows have already been sold out.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
As much as I would love to see the movies on the big screen, I think it's too early yet to be indoors with as many people as a theatre could hold (even if they sell only every other row).
I love what The Wild Game and Film On The Rocks Drive-In are doing - let's bring back drive in movies!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
