TV Series Counterpart

Just started watching this one, it was created a couple years ago. I am surprised it is not getting more buzz. Storyline: In 1989, in West Berlin, German scientists opened up a portal to a mirror world. But in doing so, they damaged that world and spread disease. The lead is the great actor Simmons, who plays Spiderman's boss. So in this mirror world, now present day, the two worlds trade data and scientific knowledge. The general population doesn't know about the mirror world. The damaged world is hurting and has also become much more autocratic. And here is where it gets eerie, they have mask mandates, and require citizens to turn in each other if they suspect they are sick.

Amazing to see this TV series come out years before the pandemic. Since it is a mirror world, the lead plays two roles, a hardcore intelligence operative, and also his softer version in our world, a simple UN employee devoted to his wife.

Can't wait to see how the series develops, it was on for two years.
