Jon Hamm takes on the role of the investigative reporter made so famous by Chevy Chase in the 80's. I was eagerly looking forward to this because I am not a big fan of Chase. So I was a little disappointed to discover that I missed Chevy and his over the top pratfalls and witticisms. Hamm does an OK job in the role, but it just doesn't have the energy of the earlier movies.
And Hamm plays the straight guy while those around him are mined for laughs.
