New movie coming out next week from Wes Anderson might just be the most Wes Anderson movie ever! After the brilliant French Dispatch, he creates a film that begins in a playwright's mind.
A group of smart teenagers are assembled in Asteroid City to compete for a huge science award in the 1950's. While there showing off their inventions, an alien spaceship arrives and the government quarantines the community.
I love Wes Anderson movies and was expecting to enjoy this one, but I think he bit off a little more than he could chew, way too much was going on and going back and forth between the backstage of the play and the actual film kept taking me out of the moment. Hope his next movie is better.
