I remember Illya Kuryakin very well, or as well as one can after 59 yrs. The show premiered in Sept 1964, my first year in college. The library would empty on Monday night at 8 PM (eastern time) and head to the student union for a one hour break to watch. No one spoke during the show, only when commercials aired. Had to be 70-100 students, watching one small (18 inch) TV mounted on a shelf so that all could see.

Wow. I tried to watch an old episode ten years ago but it seemed so slow.

Sorry, what do you mean by slow? Plot development?

Yes, slow plot development. But that is probably my own fault after years of watching fast paced adventure films. Back then they didn't have the money to afford many action scenes.
