Loved her in "Northern Exposure" as Eve married to Adam Arkin.
Rewatching the series right now and Cicely reminds me a lot of Fairplay and South Park. Same quirky characters. And same trouble getting doctors.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I was in Wasilla, watched it ever morning thru the winter, with my full spectrum light box on. I have the dvd's of the complete Series AND the complete written run down of every episode......the cool thing...
they started packaging the dvd in a puff vest...it was just like the series...quirky.
I miss the series and wish they would bring it back as a sequel....altho, Alaska as changed and the essence of what WAS a wondrous state has disappeared....much like Colorado.
Northern Exposure came close to getting rebooted. Cast member Darren Burrows launched a crowdfunding campaign in 2016 with the goal of developing new episodes to the original series, but the revival never materialized after the project failed to meet its goal. Subsequent efforts were made in 2018 to revive the show at CBS with Morrow returning as Joel Fleischman, but it was reported in 2019 that the network canceled its development. Morrow had been set to also serve as an executive producer with original creators Joshua Brand and John Falsey, with the latter's passing on 2019 preceding the CBS cancelation of the revival.
You can stream Northern Exposure on Prime Video.
WHAT A MISSED OPPORTUNITY....TWICE. SERIOUSLY SAD....
WHEN WE FIRST MOVED TO BAILEY BACK 1997.......(TWO LANE HYWAY 285 GOING INTO TOWN WAS ''omg what was i thinking in the deep of winter''...your view of a steep drop off into oblivion. I found Pinecam and the community was a reminder of Northern Exposure....bear alerts. snow reports the quaint and great hardware store that had everything u could need, Safeway was gossip central and the drugstore down in Conifer was always there when u needed a gift or card or just a cold remedy and if I am not going blond....i think u could buy booze also...one stop shopping for mountain essentials.
