Never read the book, so I thought I would cheat and watch the movie which promised to update the famous Gregorian romance.
The male lead was drop dead gorgeous after returning from parts unknown, the sets were amazing, and they did a great job showing the difference between the poor home of Cathy and the rich opulence of her neighbors.
In the book, Heathcliff and Cathy only sneak a kiss, here there is bondage, S&M, and sex all over the moors. But I didn't ever like Cathy and the film started to bore me.
Rating? 3 Dollhouses.
