RED and Sherlock Holmes 2 tidbit

Has anyone else seen trailers for the movie RED? I was watching some of my DVR'd shows last night and this is the first I've heard of this. My favorite movie news site is suspiciously silent on this (which usually isn't a good sign), but the trailer looked really fun and I LOVE the cast (especially Helen Mirren taking people out! "I kill people, dear."). It opens Oct 15th.

One of the best movies made recently (IMO!), Sherlock Holmes, has a sequel in the works. They've finally casted Prof Moriarty!

SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 Has Found Its Moriarty, And He's A Real Mad Man!

if you were hoping for a big name, you're going to be disappointed. If, however, you just wanted the best actor for the job, you're going to be thrilled to learn that the role has gone to Jared Harris. Though Harris (the son of the late, great Richard Harris) has been working steadily in film since the early '90s, he's probably best known to American audiences for his run on MAD MEN as the frugal and efficacious Lane Pryce (who had a very interesting episode last Sunday). While I'm sure some of you had other ideas about who should play Moriarty, I hope you'll give Harris a chance - especially if you aren't familiar with his work beyond, say, RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE and FRINGE.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
