Paramount is losing Iron Man and The Avengers to The Mouse House... well, not really losing... they're being given a nice chunk of change ($115 million to be exact) for it, but it's still gotta be a blow to the Paramount people. Paramount is still distributing Thor and Captain America.
Disney not only announced the deal today, but also that they've set a date for Iron Man 3 (notice the lack of "D" on the end, thank God). The film will be released May 3rd, 2013.
No word on Jon Favreau's involvement, but that's gotta be a given, right?
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
