that he was seriously considering directing Angelina Jolie in a CLEOPATRA movie before returning to Pandora, James Cameron has agreed to make AVATARs 2 & 3 his next films. Per the press release cited below, and Fox's Twitter stream.
According to a press release, Cameron indicates the film will present "self contained stories that also fulfill a greater story arc".
Cameron is to start writing the sequels in early 2011 - the second installment is being positioned for a December 2014 release with part three arriving December the following year.
