Interview With Composer David Arnold
By Daniel Schweiger • December 1, 2010

Now that it looks like the next Bond is finally getting going, have you thought about what you’d like to do for the next score? And how do you hope Bond’s character, and the series continues to evolve?

I haven’t thought about it yet. We only just got the news that we’re back on. But ‘there’s many a slip twixt cup and lip’ So I will keep quiet until I get a script and then start writing ideas. I just hope the next one is as good as my favorites, as I think everyone does. And I’m always interested in what Daniel Craig brings to the part. But like most things with movies, if it ain’t on the page etc… All I can say is that I’m looking forward to a great script for it, alongside every other Bond fan in the world!

Dame Judi Dench Is Back For The Next 007 Film!!
Published on: Jan 27, 2011
James Bond megasite MI6 says that, at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, Dame Judi Dench told media folk that she is, indeed, returning for another round as "M" in the next 007 movie - which we already knew will return Daniel Craig and be directed by Sam Mendes (AMERICAN BEAUTY, ROAD TO PERDITION, JARHEAD).

Dench's appearance in the pictutre isn't a tremendous surprise all things being equal. But, given BOND 23's troubled and wobbly path to the screen (MGM's recent financial woes), nothing could be taken for granted. I really like her take on "M" - it'll be great to have her back.

The 23rd James Bond film will commence production in late 2011 for a worldwide release on November 9, 2012. Daniel Craig will be returning as the legendary British secret agent, with Sam Mendes directing a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.

Miss Moneypenny, Javier Bardem, And Ralph Fiennes Will Be In BOND 23!
Published at: Jul 08, 2011

Nordling here.

It's been rumored for some time that Javier Bardem would be in the next Bond film, possibly as the villain, and that Ralph Fiennes would also be involved in some manner. And although this isn't exactly confirmation, The Daily Mail reports today that both have been cast, as well as a return of a certain Bond character - Miss Moneypenny, to be played by Naomie Harris (Calypso in PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST and AT WORLD'S END), pictured below:

No word on who Bardem and Fiennes would be playing, but if they're both villains (and it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that considering their careers) Daniel Craig would have his hands full. As for Moneypenny, Bond and her have always had chemistry together, and I'm certain Harris would bring that sexiness of the character on screen. Sam Mendes is directing the next film, which so far doesn't have a title.

Bond 23 Is Now... (Now With Logo and Press Conference Video!)
Published at: Nov 03, 2011

BOND 23 is BOND 23 no longer. The Sam Mendes-helmed, Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Judi Dench (that cast gets more impressive every day) Bond film will be titled SKYFALL. Says Mendes, "SKYFALL is its own story. It doesn't connect with the first two films."

and getting blasphemous here, but Daniel Craig's my favorite Bond. Yeah, even over Connery. He brings something primal and razor-sharp to Bond, and out of all the actors who have played the role, I think he may be the closest to what Ian Fleming intended. The offical synopsis of the plot reads, "Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."

What should Bond drive in Skyfall?
Following the announcement that the Focus ST is in The Sweeney, we ponder a bigger question...
Posted by: TopGear.com, 25 November 2011

Yes, of course, there's only one answer, but even that's not straightforward, and we'll come to that. Bond doesn't just drive Aston Martins. In Quantum of Solace, he was seen in a Ford Ka, a Range Rover Sport and a Ford Edge. In Casino Royale, as well as the DBS and the DB5, he also had a go in what was then the new Mondeo. See a pattern here?

The Aston One-77?

I'm voting for a McLaren MP4 myself...

So Does Q Return To The Bond Series In SKYFALL? Why, Yes He Does!
Published at: Nov 25, 2011

From http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15889689

So those crazy gadgets might be making their comeback in SKYFALL, the new James Bond film, if this BBC article is correct - the character of Q, the inventor for the British Secret Service who made the machinery that kept James Bond from getting into trouble, is returning to the franchise, to be played by Ben Whishaw, according to BBC News.

I like the idea that Q is younger than Bond this time - makes sense considering today's technology.
