The bike trail along I-70 from Genesee to Evergreen is expected to open this week.
Colorado Department of Transportation spokeswoman Emily Wilfong said the trail is expected to open on or around Friday. The construction crew has built a path, including a pedestrian bridge, along the north side of I-70 near the Buffalo Overlook that connects to Evergreen Parkway.
