Commission divided on resolution supporting health district

A divided Board of County Commissioners voted 2-1 to approve a resolution backing its own ballot measures asking voters to approve a health service district.

Commissioners Peter Monson and Tim Mauck voted for the resolution, while Commissioner Phil Buckland voted against.

“I don’t think the plan is well thought out, and I’m afraid it will fail,” Buckland said. “I’d rather have one that is better thought out and ready to go versus trying to rush through.”
