5-year-old Evergreen girl an inspiration for others fighting cystic fibrosis

By all outward appearances, Sloan Scott is a typical 5-year-old: Her artwork is displayed on the walls of her playroom, she’s a soccer player, she loves reading books and she loves being outside.

But on the inside, Sloan battles cystic fibrosis every day, and last week, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation sent a photographer to Evergreen to capture photos of Sloan being a regular kid. The photos will be used on CFF’s website and in promotional materials.

JJ and Jorde hope Sloan will inspire others with the disease to keep fighting. They also hope that Sloan’s story will inspire the foothills community to support the cause to find a cure.

“My biggest hope,” JJ said, “is one day Evergreen will embrace the CF cause with a fund-raising golf tournament or a dinner to help the foundation find a cure.”
