Comprehensive plan offers roadmap of Idaho Springs future

Nearly a dozen members of the public previewed the proposed land-use portion of the revised Idaho Springs comprehensive plan during a town hall meeting on June 28.

Community development planner Alan Tiefenbach said the land-use portion of the plan tells the city how it’s supposed to grow and what kind of uses are appropriate in what areas, and it was time for it to be updated.

“It is sort of the roadmap for what the city is going to look like in the next 20 years,” Tiefenbach said.
