Youngsters share their insights at annual Earth Day event

Fourth-grader Brady Dewil and his teammates donned green capes Saturday because, much like their favorite superheroes, they were on a mission to save the earth.

Several youngsters both attended and helped with the 29th annual Earth Day Fair on Saturday at the Evergreen Lake House, including Wilmot Elementary School’s Green Team.

At their booth, Brady, 10, and his teammates laid out identical lamps with different types of bulbs to show how much energy each type uses. By using energy-efficient bulbs and turning off lights when rooms are empty, the students said their school was able to save hundreds of dollars in electric bills.
