ELID proponents not deterred after commissioners postpone proposal

The group working to create the Evergreen Local Improvement District is not deterred even though county commissioners informally decided on May 22 to postpone approving the district indefinitely.

Downtown Evergreen Economic District board members, who helped start the ELID process, said they will continue with their efforts, and that discussions aren't over long-term.

"DEED sees this as only a minor setback," DEED board member Rachel Emmer said in an email. "We're committed to addressing the infrastructure needs of our community."
