The two-bedroom home on Main Street benefited from some of the artisans in the area with a beautiful domed ceiling in the master bedroom and stained glass windows. The bathroom window looks out at a rock outcropping behind the house, and there’s even an outhouse with two holes for adults and one child-size hole.

Walen opened her home to visitors on July 28 as part of the Parlours and Perennials tour of 21 homes, gardens and historic sites in the Georgetown-Silver Plume Historic Landmark District.
