Fans of Empire’s Hard Rock Café won’t be waiting long to enjoy its assortment of comfort food once again. The business is hiring staff and plans to reopen within a month.
The café has been vacant since September 2017, and the town — which owns the building — has been looking for a vendor to run it to bring in more visitors and generate additional sales-tax revenue.
According to Mayor Richard Sprague, about two weeks ago, the town leased the café to the Stein Brewing Co., which owns and operates J. Wells Brewing in Boulder.
