But Jason Russell and Stephanie Strange aren’t just veterans, they are literally the best in the world. So, when the husband and wife landed in Conifer four years ago it was no accident.
If you run into the couple at Kings Soopers or the gas station around Conifer you would never know they were skydiving royalty.
“We are never really in the spotlight like this,” Russell said.
That might be a bit of a fib, considering the duo just came off of winning their second consecutive skydiving world championship title last month in Gold Coast, Australia.
Their team, SDC Core, earned the rare opportunity to represent the United States at the World Championships after earning gold at last year’s U.S. Parachute Association National Skydiving Championships.
