BIZBEAT: Christmas trees aplenty in Evergreen, Marshdale

Now is the time to get Christmas trees to help deck the halls.

In addition to cutting your own tree on Forest Service land, several places in the foothills are available to purchase pre-cut trees.

JP Total on the east end of downtown Evergreen has been selling trees, gifts and gourmet food for 27 years — a mainstay for tree buyers in the area.

Two new tree businesses have opened — one at Evergreen Parkway and Troutdale Scenic Drive, and the other at the Red Barn in Marshdale. Both have connections to Evergreen’s Luckylure Holiday Activity Center, which closed this year because owner Rocky Brougham retired.
