Conifer’s Christmas Parade didn’t disappoint despite chilly weather

The Christmas parade moving down Sutton Road in Conifer on Saturday afternoon was the epitome of a great small-town event.
The parade, celebrating its 36th year, consisted of 35 entries from the Conifer High School marching band to local businesses to dignitaries such as Jefferson County Commissioner Tina Francone and area principals.

This year’s theme was Candy Land — and entries took the theme to heart, handing out candy to kids and adults alike, and using candy and gingerbread houses on floats.
