Joseph Ford, the suspect who barricaded himself inside his Conifer home following a physical altercation with his wife, was taken into custody Monday afternoon.

Ford, 40, is facing numerous charges, including menacing, second-degree assault and child abuse since a child was in the home. Firearms were involved, according to Taplin, but the Sheriff’s Office has not yet clarified whether a firearm was used. Both the suspect and the victim were treated for injuries, but the child was unharmed in the altercation.
