An Evergreen couple are starting a group to get people outside — and to clean things up.
It’s called the Anti-Litter Social Club, and its first meeting will be at 11 a.m. March 24 starting at Baskin-Robbins in downtown Evergreen. At the first meeting, the group will pick up whatever they find in downtown Evergreen, along Bear Creek and around the lake.
They hope they can get a local establishment to host a happy hour at around 2 p.m., when litter pickup will end.
They want the group to meet quarterly, and with a large group picking up litter, these events will be fun, and people will look forward to them — a win-win for area residents and for the environment.
