A new telecommunications tower is being proposed in Idledale as a means of bringing AT&T wireless service to the area and providing infrastructure for additional service providers.
The tower, which would be northwest of the intersection of Highway 74 and Grapevine Road, is being proposed by Nexius, a telecommunications service provider based in Texas. If approved, it will be on private land owned by Steven and Dianne Palaschak. The tower will be some 90 feet tall and fashioned to look like a tree.
