Platte Canyon’s Sussenbach owns the quintessential student-athlete title

All her life, Heidi Sussenbach has been a go-getter.

Whether she’s on the diamond or in the classroom, the Platte Canyon junior and softball player always gives it her all, even sometimes when she’s not supposed to.

This year, Sussenbach took over as one of the baseball team’s managers, through which she’ll serve as the bookkeeper. She thought it would be a good way to get some added experience for softball to see how a different team operates. Maybe she can even carry what she learns into softball next year.

As if that wasn’t enough, this year she decided to take her extracurriculars a step further.
