Annual Foothills Home, Garden & Lifestyles Show allows residents to prepare for

Despite gloomy weather on Saturday, it was a perfect day to think about spring projects — home improvements, gardening and remodeling.

And the perfect place to find vendors was the Foothills Home, Garden & Lifestyles Show at Evergreen High School. Eighty vendors discussed their wares and services with attendees who perused their booths.

The show, which used to be called the Mountain Area Home and Garden Show, had some new additions: massage therapy, acupuncture and healing therapies — only adding to the number of people the event now appeals to.

In its 14th year, the show is sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Conifer and Evergreen. Unlike other shows, the Rotary clubs distribute the proceeds as grants to organizations in the foothills. Since 2005, $200,000 has been donated.
