Jury trial set for ex-Jeffco deputy

A jury trial has been scheduled for the former Jefferson County Jail deputy accused of having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.

Myriah Lovato, 29, returns to court on Aug. 15 for a motions hearing followed by a five-day jury trial in October. She faces felony charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree introducing contraband, two counts of second-degree introducing contraband and sexual conduct in a correctional institution.
