The Colorado Department of Transportation has delayed the opening of Mount Evans Highway due to recent snowfall. The highway was scheduled to open this weekend.
CDOT confirmed that maintenance crews will continue plowing Highway 5 with the goal of partially opening the highway to Summit Lake by May 29 weather permitting. The rest will open at some point afterward.
