At first, kindergartner Elsa Johnstone thought the chain was infinitely long.

But, after some re-evaluating, she then guessed that it was 20 feet. Her classmate Sawyer Koeberl guessed it was 100 feet long.

In reality, the paper chain representing all the Random Acts of Kindness the students of Carlson Elementary had done throughout the school year was closer to 300 feet long.

The chain, which is in its third year at Carlson, is part of the school’s anti-bullying program. Principal Marcia Jochim said teachers built chains in their classrooms and then added them to the school-wide chain during assemblies.

“It’s always impressive to me how everyone can contribute,” she continued.
