The Clear Creek school board has entered into a contract to sell the district office, Golddigger Field and the bus barn, but it will be awhile before the public sees any changes.
Clear Creek High School will be allowed to use Digger Field for one more football season, and the district will have up to two-and-a-half years to relocate the bus barn. These are two of the considerations included in the contract, according to school board president Mitch Houston.
Centennial Opportunity Fund II will pay $3.75 million for all of the properties plus additional considerations, and the board approved the contract 3-0 at a May 29 special meeting. Houston said Centennial is owned by Kurt Soukup, who is developing Bighorn Crossing in Georgetown and presented his proposal to the board and the public in April.
