BizBeat: Long-time owners sell Two Brothers Deli

In August 1999, when Dumont’s Dan and Cherie Ebert opened Two Brothers Deli, there were only three restaurants along Idaho Springs’ Miner Street — all of them sit-down establishments that sometimes had long wait times.


“We saw a need for a place that served good food (and) fast,” Dan described.

Since opening the deli nearly 20 years ago, it’s grown into a community staple. On May 30, the Eberts sold Two Brothers to Georgetown’s Jason and Lindsey Valdez.

“It was a good time in our lives to move on,” Dan said of the decision. “It will be a big adjustment, and we want to make sure the transition is good for the staff.”
