Sheriff’s Office prepares for flooding possibilities
The Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office is preparing for flooding possibilities by having sandbags and road base available to the public at 3400 Stanley Road in Dumont between the ambulance building and the former rodeo grounds.

Fall River Road bridge project closes one lane of Stanley Road
A temporary traffic signal has been installed while crews build the bridge connecting Stanley Road to Fall River Road.

Sheriff’s Office awards two scholarships
The 2019-2020 scholarships were awarded to county residents Keyara Vieweg and Marysol Galke-Mendizabal, who were selected by a citizens’ committee based on leadership, merit, character, involvement, purpose and need.

Mount Evans Highway opens
After delays caused by clearing away late spring snow, Mount Evans Highway opened to the public Friday and hosted the Mount Evans Ascent on Saturday.

Because of all the remaining snow surrounding the highway, authorities are asking motorists to drive slowly and safely and to be aware of their surroundings.
